The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in partnership with Mitacs, has officially opened applications for the AICTE-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) 2027.
This elite, fully funded 12-week research program offers up to 300 Indian undergraduate students the chance to collaborate with top faculty members at premier Canadian universities. Eligible students must submit their online applications by September 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM PT.

AICTE-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2027: Eligibility Criteria and Deadlines
The internship will take place between May and October 2027, spanning diverse fields including STEM, life sciences, humanities, and social sciences.
To qualify for this international research opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment: Must be a full-time student at an AICTE-approved institution.
- Academic Merit: A minimum cumulative score of 70% or equivalent GPA is required.
- Project Selection: Applicants must select between 3 and 10 research projects across at least three different Canadian provinces.
This prestigious initiative completely covers round-trip airfare, housing, food, emergency health insurance, and student mentorship on campus.
Eligible candidates can register and complete their profiles through the official AICTE and Mitacs Globalink portals before the strict September 16 deadline. Late applications will not be processed.
