UGC Directs Universities to Integrate SWAYAM MOOCs into Academic Curriculum of July 2026. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has directed Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to integrate approved SWAYAM Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) into the July 2026 semester.   • Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB)
  • All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
  • National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR)
  • Institutions of National Importance (INIs)

Additional Directions for Universities

The UGC has also instructed universities to:

  • Share the approved SWAYAM course list with deans, heads of departments, and SWAYAM University Nodal Officers.
  • Conduct meetings of SWAYAM Advisory Committees to identify suitable courses for each programme.
  • Finalise the process for credit transfer.
  • Display the approved course list on official university websites and social media platforms.
  • Inform students about available courses well before the registration deadline.
