CBSE CTET 2026 Postponed: Tentative Revised Exam Date, City Slip, and Admit Card Updates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the final revised schedule for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 shortly. Media reports point to October 9, 2026, as the new examination date, the board has not yet released an official notification confirming this timeline.

The national-level teacher eligibility exam was initially slated for September 6, 2026. However, it was deferred after the Supreme Court directed CBSE to reopen the registration window for candidates who missed the initial deadline.

Ahead of the revised exam date, the board has extended the application correction window, allowing registered candidates to modify errors in their forms until September 10, 2026.
