The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results for the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 session on August 28, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the prestigious exam can now view and download their official scorecards through the direct link provided on the official website.
Out of the 6,07,151 candidates who appeared for the exam across 84 subjects, a total of 1,47,579 candidates successfully qualified. Among the successful candidates, 4,241 have cleared the cut-off for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor categories. The remaining qualified candidates have secured eligibility for Assistant Professor roles or Ph.D. programme admissions.

To download your scorecard, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link titled “UGC NET June 2026 Scorecard Download”.
- Log in using your unique Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
- View, download, and print your scorecard for future admissions and verification processes.
NTA Withholds Results for English, Commerce, and Sociology: Re-Exam Scheduled
In a crucial update, the NTA announced that results for three major subjects: English, Commerce, and Sociology have been withheld. The decision follows the identification of critical factual, typographical, translation, and language errors in the original question papers.
To ensure fairness, the NTA will re-conduct the examination for these specific subjects on September 9 and September 10, 2026.
- English Retest: September 9, 2026 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
- Commerce Retest: September 9, 2026 (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
- Sociology Retest: September 10, 2026 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
Candidates belonging to these three disciplines will currently encounter an “Invalid Application Number/Password” error message on the portal.
Their results will be compiled and released separately after the re-examinations are concluded.
